baby pink
laura freigang x reader
one part to the baby pink series
Tumblr media
you and laura have been inseparable since your days at penn state. laura was a beast on the soccer field, her talent and determination earning her a place on the university's team after playing in germany for all of her life.
you, on the other hand, loved soccer until you had a back injury from an accident– preventing you from playing football ever again.
from therapy– you found your new passion through photography.
your love story between laura and you grew in the shared moments of your photography electives at penn state, where laura's fiery energy met your soft-hearted one.
you first met in a photography class, both unsure about the other but quickly becoming friends. she started to notice how you wore pink everyday.
your jeans were always blue and you had on the same comfy birkenstock slides– but you had many baby pink shirts that you loved to show off.
laura's interest in photography was a surprise to many– including you– since you knew her as a soccer star, overtime you saw the deeper layers in her.
you guys spent countless afternoons wandering around campus, snapping photos of anything that helped with both of your photography mentions.
the german would capture other people and nature, meanwhile you tend to capture anything that was any shade of pink.
she admired how you saw the world through a pink-tinted lens, both literally and figuratively. your old dorm room back in pennsylvania had been a shrine to the color pink– with pink curtains, bedding, and decor that reflected your love for that color.
as your friendship deepened, it turned into something more. laura started getting you pink colored flowers that you thought were pretty– not more pretty than her. when you asked a mutual friend about laura’s new gesture– they told you that laura might’ve been in love with you.
you believed it and you confessed your love to laura– who kissed you in response.
you two started dating, and it wasn't long before you were inseparable. your love for each other grew stronger with each passing day, cemented by your shared experiences and dreams for the future.
now, 6 years later, you live together in frankfurt, germany. laura plays for the football club frankfurt, and you capture your lives with your cameras.
your love for pink is still well-known; as laura’s woso fans love complimenting you about your pink aesthetics.
the collection of cameras in your shared apartment were more proof, each adorned with pink stickers or encased in pink cases and shells. even (some) your wardrobe is still a sea of pink.
one chilly afternoon, the two of you are lounging at home. laura is sprawled on the couch, recovering from the game against wolfsburg that morning, while you excitedly open a package you've been waiting for all week.
laura glanced over the couch and looked at you with the box on the kitchen island, her curiosity piqued.
"what did you get?" she asks, her eyes lighting up with interest.
you grin and pull out a brand-new camera in a smaller box, the body of the camera shimmered in a delicate shade of pink.
turning it over in your hands, admiring the sleek design and the soft color, you smile brightly at it.
laura chuckles, shaking her head. "of course, it's pink."
you laugh, your eyes sparkling with delight at your fiancee. "you know i had to" you say, holding the camera up to your eye and pretending to take a picture of laura.
you would’ve taken the picture but the camera still needed a battery and sd card from the cabinet where laura and you kept them.

laura smiles warmly, reaching out to you with her arms. you giggle as you walk up to her in the living toom.
by your waist, she pulls you onto the couch beside her. "i love that about you" she murmurs, brushing a strand of your hair behind your ear. "it's pretty– just like you."
you lean in, kissing Laura softly. "i love capturing you with the cameras,"
“and i love capturing you.” laura whispered against your lips.
as the afternoon sun bathes your apartment threw your windows, you and your fiancee take pictures to do something with your free time.
you snap shots of laura, her athletic form, beautiful eyes, and soft hair creating stunning images, while laura, in turn, captures your radiant smile, pink blush, and the joy in your eyes.
through the pink camera, everyone can see the love in the couple's eyes.

🛸 00:00 - Introduction to Trey Hudson and the Meadow Project
Trey Hudson, author, military veteran, and paranormal investigator, joins to discuss his book and research into a high-strangeness area known as "The Meadow" in the southern U.S., a location compared to Skinwalker Ranch.
🌌 00:10 - Bob's Orb Transformation Incident
During a 2016 investigation, a team observed Bob, a field operative, inexplicably transform into an orb of light on thermal imaging—while Bob claimed he simply walked across the area.
👣 00:20 - Encounters and GPS Anomalies
Team experienced encounters with hominid-like figures and odd GPS tracking data showing impossible straight-line paths. Bob’s data later disappeared from his SD card. Hypnotic regression failed to recover his memory.
🔲 00:30 - February 2017: The Thermal Cubes
Team observed man-sized heat signatures and bizarre thermal-only visible cubes appearing in the meadow. A volunteer entered one, vanishing from thermal view and encountering an altered reality. Two people from that encounter later died.
⌛ 00:40 - Temporal and Spatial Anomalies
Trey experienced a profound disorientation near a creek, unable to recognize familiar terrain. Found an unusual sapling bent into a perfect oval—possibly a natural marker or dimensional portal.
💡 00:50 - Equipment Dreams and Consciousness Experiments
Discussed desire for advanced monitoring tools like lasers and EMF/radiation loggers. Team also uses techniques like the Estes Method, meditation, Monroe Institute principles, and the God Helmet to enhance encounters.
🔮 01:00 - Abductions, Entities, and Ultra-Terrestrials
Mention of classical abduction symptoms, shadow entities, and dogman tracks found near Trey's home. Discussed theory of ultra-terrestrials—entities that manifest in different forms (UFOs, Bigfoot, ghosts) depending on how they interact with our dimension.
📦 01:10 - Hitchhikers, Cubes, and Spiritual Implications
Team members have experienced poltergeist-type activity post-expedition. Trey's team is exploring simulation theory and notes thematic overlaps between high-strangeness sites like Skinwalker Ranch and ancient esoteric symbols (e.g., cubes, sacred geometry).
🧠 01:20 - Precognition and Remote Viewing
Touched on mainstream acceptance of precognitive dreams. Explained military’s remote viewing programs and correlations with high-strangeness areas. Trey’s team trained in controlled remote viewing; plans to use AI for future pattern recognition.
📚 01:30 - Wrap-Up and Promotions
Trey promotes his second book, “Return to the Meadow,” due May 27. Emphasizes the importance of preserving the meadow site and continuing to share these stories with the world.

hi sun! this is very random but do you know if the files that have been deleted from the recycle bin on an android phone can be restored somehow?😭
i accidentally deleted a whole download folder yesterday while clearing up storage and that included like 2000 files. skz and kpop vids and about 200 songs audio files i had saved are gone😭😭😭 pls help im so sad
Hi! First, I’m so sorry this happened—it’s such a frustrating and upsetting thing to lose so many files like that. i found some helpful tips online hopefully it’ll help
1. Check Cloud Backups
If you use cloud services like Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, check to see if your files were automatically backed up. Sometimes, downloads or media files are synced without you realizing it.
2. Use File Recovery Apps
There are apps specifically designed to recover deleted files from Android devices like diskdigger and dr.fone or easeUS mobisaver but i’m not sure if they’re all free. (Install the app on your phone or a computer (if your phone has USB debugging enabled) and follow the instructions to scan for deleted files)
3. Check Android’s Trash Folder
On some phones (like Samsung Galaxy devices), there’s a “Trash” or “Recycle Bin” folder in the My Files app or Gallery. If your phone has this feature, check there to see if your files can still be recovered.
4. External Storage
If the deleted folder was on an SD card, recovery tools might be more effective. You can connect the SD card to a computer and use recovery software like Recuva or PhotoRec.
but the sooner you try recovery, the better your chances of getting your files back so i hope one of those works :)
last resort is seeking professional help but that might be expensive but If these steps don’t work and the files are extremely important, that might be your last option :(

JFK Revisited
Tumblr media
The episode begins with Adam gesturing animatedly in front of the camera while holding a replica Carcano rifle.
Adam: “Alright, MythBusters fans, today we’re diving into one of the most controversial myths in history: the magic bullet theory! Did a single gunman really gank JFK? Or was there a second shooter on the grassy knoll? To find out, we’ve going to Dealey Plaza in Dallas—to test it for ourselves!”
Jamie stands stoically in the background, his arms crossed, his hat shading his expression.
Jamie: “This isn’t about conspiracies. It’s about physics. That’s all.”
The camera pans up to show Jamie climbing the stairs to the Texas School Book Depository. He takes position at the window, rifle ready. Adam, meanwhile, stands below on the sidewalk, looking at passing traffic with a mischievous grin.
Adam yells up to the window, “Alright, Jamie, here comes our first victim. Try this blue Honda!”
Jamie adjusts the scope and takes aim. A shot rings out, striking the car’s hood with a loud clang. The Honda swerves slightly and accelerates away.
Adam: “That was beautiful. Let’s go again!”
A silver minivan appears, and Adam waves enthusiastically.
Adam: “Ooh, ooh, Jamie! The van! Let’s see if you can hit that side panel!”
Jamie fires again, this time denting the side of the van. The driver screams and honks angrily but doesn’t stop. Adam laughs and claps his hands like a delighted child.
Adam: “Direct hit! You’re getting the hang of this!”
The camera cuts to Jamie, who reloads with a quiet intensity. The next car, a sleek red sedan, approaches. Adam is practically vibrating with excitement.
Adam: “Jamie! This one! Let’s go for the windshield!”
Jamie adjusts his aim and fires. The bullet smashes through the windshield, and the sedan veers off the road, crashing into a lamppost. The driver steps out, clearly shaken but unharmed. Adam grins nervously and waves.
Adam: “Uh, sorry! MythBusters! Science in progress!”
Jamie is silent, his focus unbroken. Suddenly, a white pickup truck enters the frame. Adam points enthusiastically.
Adam: “This one! This one! Let’s see if you can graze the side mirror!”
Jamie exhales slowly, takes aim, and pulls the trigger. But this time, something goes horribly wrong. The bullet doesn’t strike the truck—it hits a child crossing the street. The boy crumples instantly, blood pooling beneath him. There’s a beat of stunned silence. Then chaos erupts.
Adam: “Oh my god. Oh my god. Jamie, what the hell did you do?!”
Jamie lowers the rifle and stares down at the scene, his face unreadable.
Jamie: “He walked into the line of fire. That’s not on me.”
Adam: “Not on you?! Jamie, someone’s dead! What are we supposed to—what are we—”
The sound of approaching sirens cuts through Adam’s panic. Jamie steps away from the window, calmly unslinging the rifle.
Jamie: “We leave. Now.”
Adam: “Leave?! Jamie, we just killed a guy!”
Jamie: “Correction. I killed a guy. And you’re coming with me.”
The camera shakes as the crew scrambles to pack up their equipment. Adam looks directly at the lens, wide-eyed and trembling.
Adam: “Cut the feed. Cut the—”
The screen cuts to black. The episode never aired, the footage was recovered from an SD card found by a cleaner at M5 Industries and leaked online.

Paint It Black (4) Dreading
Robin disappeared three months ago. Now, Jump City's crime rate is mysteriously being taken care of by a normal, albeit strange, teenage boy who goes by the name Black. As the Titans befriend this lunatic, they begin to see a correlation between him and their missing leader. Will they be able to find Robin, or will Black turn them all insane as himself? [Actually, does not contain an OC]
Ao3
There were a few things built into the routine of the tower, done without thought. Robin was meticulous about cleanliness, and instilled it into the team. Everyone had their chores, but the 15th of the month was a deep clean day. As long as a villain didn’t occupy the calendar at least.
The first month they had been in the tower, Robin had warned them what would happen. On the 15th, anything that wasn’t in its place and he didn’t know where it belonged, it would be trashed.
While the rest of the team assumed it was some sort of intimidation tactic, Robin made good on his threat. The next day, the tower was spotless and the rest of the team spent several hours going through the trash.
It was a lesson that never had to be taught again.
Now, two years later, the routine was the same. Even if Robin wasn’t there to supervise, the tower got a nice deep clean.
While Starfire was in front of the windows squeegeeing them clean, Gizmo’s ugly baby face popped up on the monitor.
“HEY BUTTSNACKS!”
The yell threw Starfire off balance and she tumbled through the air.
“Are you crud sniffers home? I know this is your underground access tunnel. Let us in!”
“What does he want?” Raven asked, cleaning the sink.
Cyborg tied off a bag of moldy food. “I needed some help with those videos.”
“So you asked Gizmo?”
“Relax. I made copies.” He called over to Starfire. “Let them in.”
Starfire begrudgingly opened the tunnel access and went down to escort the Hive Students up to the ops room, while Cyborg went to Robin’s office.
In a moment, Mammoth, Gizmo, and Jinx entered the ops room.
“Huh, hasn’t changed much from the last time we were here,” Jinx said.
“You mean when you kicked us out?” Raven corrected.
“Eh, semantics.”
Gizmo helped himself to a soda from the fridge. “So what are you snot blowers doing?” He jumped and sat on the couch, placing his can on the table.
Raven made a coaster appear under the can.
“Today is the 15th,” Starfire provided. “Robin always deep cleaned the tower on the 15th.”
“A clean environment is a productive environment,” Raven added.
“Eh. I just do it out of the goodness of my heart,” said Beast Boy.
Cyborg returned. “Alright. Three Hive student files. You got the card?”
Gizmo held it up. “Yep. A deal’s a deal.”
“And you recovered all the files?”
“Eh…mostly. The metadata wasn’t salvageable. So like…you can’t see where it was recorded.”
“So this has all just been a waste?” Starfire cried out.
“Not necessarily, let’s see what’s on them.”
Gizmo held out the card, while he held out his other hand, waiting for the files.
They exchanged them at the same time.
Again, Cyborg checked the card for viruses, but it didn’t look like Gizmo had sabotaged anything. “I don’t see any corruption or viruses. You held your end of the deal.”
Gizmo crossed his arms. “Begrudgingly.”
Jinx added, “When Gizmo told me what he was doing, I told him to behave for once.”
“Yeah, so I behaved. But I’m not leaving until I get to watch those videos!”
Starfire took the SD card from Cyborg, eager to watch herself. “That is fine. I do not care if you all stay, but you must be quiet.”
Mammoth groaned, “watch some dumb boring video? No thanks. Hey, are you throwing all this out?” He pointed to the bag of moldy food.
“Knock yourself out, big guy.” Cyborg smirked. “Gizmo, I’m surprised you didn’t watch them when you recovered them.”
“I watched the first few seconds and then scrubbed through them. Again, Jinx made me behave.”
Mammoth tried to control the volume of his scarfing as Starfire popped the card into the computer. Once everyone was paying attention, she clicked on the third video, the one that was corrupted the first time they watched. Then she quickly returned to the couch, pillow clutched to her chest.
The video turned on, the camera under the bed again, same as the second video. Immediately in the frame was Robin’s chin. He quickly got out of the way, and allowed the rest of the room to be in the shot. It was a medium room, bare, pale walls. There were three beds. A bunch of young men sat around the room, wearing hospital gowns.
Most of these details were not noticed right away however.
“I CAN’T TAKE IT! I CAN’T TAKE IT!” A young man was shouting across the room. He was thrashing about, holding his face. “IT BURNS! OH GOD!”
“Oh shut up!” Someone else yelled at him, before hauling off and punching him.
“MY FACE! IT HURTS! IT HURTS!”
“Hey!” Robin’s voice cut through the screams. “Just breathe, okay? It’s going to be alright.”
“You’re wasting your breath, 8. They poured acid on him. He’s just gonna scream ‘til he dies.” This was said by a young man, maybe a foot taller than Robin. He looked like he had seen several fights in his life.
“I…I know.”
“Then I say we just cut to the end!”
“Wait 5!”
The Titans and their guests watched in horror as one young man tried to kill the other, while the third, presumably Robin, tried and failed to save him.
“What is your problem!?” Robin cried, on the ground, holding the body of the young man that was strangled to death.
“My problem?! What’s your problem!? I just put 16 out of his suffering! Something you clearly have the ability to, but not the guts!”
“I would never kill a person.”
“Well, then you might as well let one of us kill you now.” He punched Robin in the arm. “Tell you what. You’re clearly the smartest and sanest person in this room. So let me clarify what’s happening here. We’re not escaping, we’re not getting rescued, despite whatever hare-brained scheme you’ve got with that shitty robot under the bed. The Masters want an apprentice, and they want the best. The last one alive in this room gets the title. Half of these psychos are going to go within the month because of withdrawal. It's up to the rest of us who makes it out.”
“How are you so sure of this?”
“They told me. They have high hopes. And you’re my competition. So why don’t you just crawl back under that bed, sing your little songs to feel better, and then give me a real fight when the time comes.”
Robin stood there, fists clenching and unclenching before he turned and started coming back to the bed, leaving the body on the floor.
“What kind of hell hole is this?” Gizmo asked.
“I hate this, I hate this,” Robin said, crawling back under the bed, and quickly out of frame. In the main room, some of the other boys were crawling across the floor, examining the body of their cellmate.
“Hey!” Someone else shouted at them. “Leave it alone!”
The boys scurried away like insects.
Robin’s voice came quietly again, right by the mic of the camera. He was singing softly.
“And if I'm gonna talk, I just wanna talk. Please don't interrupt. Just sit back and listen. 'Cause I can't face the evening straight and you can't offer me escape. Houses move and houses speak. If you take me there you'll get relief.”
“Now he’s singing?” Gizmo scoffed.
Starfire immediately turned to him with glowing eyes and shushed him.
Gizmo shut up.
Robin took a long breath, then started a different song. This one was at an eerie cadence, and his hand, in frame, tapped out a slow beat. “Are you hungry? Are you sick? Are you begging for a break?...Are you sweet? Are you fresh? Are you strung up by the wrists? We want the young blood.” Someone started crying in the background. “Are you fracturing? Are you torn at the seams? Would you do anything? Flea-bitten, moth-eaten?”
Raven stood and went to get a notebook. Perhaps this was a secret message?
Another young man leaned over the bed, presumably on top of the mattress. “Hey, you singin’ again?”
“Yeah. Sorry if it’s bothering you.”
“Nah. I was going to say you could probably sing louder if you want. Drown out some of that.”
“I’m not very good.”
“At this point, I don’t care.”
“Thanks…it makes the time go faster.”
“Yeah.”
There was a pause before Robin started singing again. The song changed, again, to one not so eerie, but still sad. “And it wears him out…It wears him out…It wears him out…It wears…” He sighed. “She looks like the real thing. She tastes like the real thing. My fake plastic love. But I can't help the feeling. I could blow through the ceiling. If I just turn and run.”
“You getting all this, Raven?” Cyborg asked as Robin paused again.
“I’m doing my best.”
“All the right moves in, In the right places. Watch me dance, I'm a puppet you can almost see the strings.”
“Puppet Master?” Beast Boy said quietly.
“Give me an answer. Give me a line. I've been climbing up this ladder. I've been wasting my time.”
When he came to a pause, the other boy leaned down again and asked. “Hey, you take requests?”
“Uh…not, not right now. I’m trying to think of something.”
“Oh. I gotcha. But you should sing some Billy Joel or something less…grim, you know?”
“I’ll try to think of one in a minute.”
Raven narrowed her eyes. “The songs he’s singing are on purpose.”
Robin hummed a few notes from the last song he had just sang, almost as a reminder, and then sang, “There's always a siren singing you to shipwreck. Steer away from these rocks, we'd be a walking disaster. Just 'cause you feel it doesn't mean it's there.”
“I’ve heard these songs before,” Beast Boy said, mostly to himself. “Robin must listen to them.”
Then Robin took a deep breath, and whispered. “Okay.” Then he sang another song, this one fast and he patted the floor with a much faster tempo. “Jigsaw falling into place, so there is nothing to explain. You eye each other as you pass, she looks back, you look back. Not just once, Not just twice. Wish away the nightmare, wish away the nightmare. You've got a light, you can feel it on your back, a light, you can feel it on your back. Jigsaw falling into place.” He hummed a bit at the end, presumably an instrumental part, then whispered. “I hope you got all that,” and the video ended.
“What the hell was that?!” Gizmo shouted, “Was Bird Brain supposed to be in there somewhere?”
“I bet he’s the one that got hit with the acid,” Mammoth said, heartlessly.
“Wow, for a boy genius, you sure are stupid,” Jinx said, smacking his head. “The guy that was singing was Robin.”
“What? No way! That didn’t look anything like him!”
Starfire let out a sniff, drawing attention to herself. Her face was covered in tears and snot, her eyes still on the screen.
“Ah! Star!” Beast Boy jumped to try to comfort her, but his hand hovered over her shoulder. Eventually, he just transformed into a cat and bumped against her arm.
This seemed to jolt Starfire out of her shock as she scooped Beast Boy up into her arms and cried in earnest into his fur.
“Is that normal?” Jinx asked Cyborg.
“Nothing around here has been normal for months.”
Gizmo crossed his arms and pouted. He wanted to see what was on the rest of the videos he recovered, but honestly didn’t know if he should stay.
“Starfire,” Raven said calmly. “Can we watch the next video, or do you need a moment?”
Starfire released a soaked and snotty Beast Boy and nodded. “I shall be alright. It is just…hard.”
“I know,” Raven said tightly.
Cyborg placed a box of tissues next to Starfire, as Beast Boy remained a cat next to her.
“I’ll start the next one,” Cyborg said solemnly.
The video started with a crackle. That same perspective from under the bed. The room was still a stark, cold empty place, but looked even more empty, as there were less boys now. Maybe less than ten.
Robin started singing. The room was quiet, so his voice was pretty clear. “You can keep what you want. I want none of this. They're just bad memories I don't want. In my sunshine. You can pack it all up and be gone…and be gone.”
“Turn it up, 8.” Someone said from the room.
“Yeah. It’s too damn quiet!”
Robin shifted and partly emerged from under the bed, laying on his back. He sang louder, in earnest. He seemed to be mimicking the vocals of the original artist. “What did you put in that syringe? Whatever you really said to him? Is sitting there, inside of me and you bother me, You possess me. You're there again, ahead of me and I won't let go. I won't let go. You're inside my head…inside my head…inside my head…inside my head.”
As he sang, another boy, who looked very unwell, crept across the floor, staring at Robin in an unsettling way. His movements were inhuman, as he prowled on his knuckles. When he reached Robin, he plopped down on the ground.
Robin didn’t move or stop singing as the new boy touched his face, pushing on his skin with a finger to make it squish.
“What’re you doin’ 2?” Someone asked as the song broke.
“I…I want his face,” said the strange boy. “It’s a nice face. I’d take care of it.”
“I’m sure you would,” Robin said, calmly, and not at all disturbed like most people would be. “But I am using it. So I’m afraid I can’t give it to you.”
The other boy pouted and then laid down, mimicking Robin’s pose on the floor. He reached over and held Robin’s hand. Robin, in turn, just let him do it.
“I've had these jeans since I was born and now they're ripped and now they're torn and all my friends have skateboards. I want the toys of other boys. I want a knife and a gun and things. But mom and dad will not give in…and I can't put the needle in.”
Robin sighed, his chest visibly moving from his place on the floor.
“Now will you sing some Billy Joel?” Someone asked.
Robin sat up, crawling back to the camera. “Yeah, buddy, I’ll sing some Billy Joel.” And the video ended.
“I knew these songs were picked specifically! But why?” Raven looked over the lyrics.
“Perhaps it shall be clear once we have the full message?”
“Well, there’s four videos left.”
“I dread them, but we must power through.” Starfire blotted her cheeks.
“This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen,” Gizmo said. “And I did prison time.”
“Kinda makes you rethink being a criminal, huh?” Suggested Cyborg, “there might be worse things than prison.”
“Nah. Robin was a hero and look what happened to him.”
Starfire stuttered a sob.
“Look, if you don’t have anything remotely kind to say, you can beat it.”
Gizmo pouted again. “I’ll shut up.”
Cyborg gave him a withering glance before turning on the next video.
The camera had moved. It was on top of the bed now, looking over the room. The two beds fully in view were occupied by a couple boys each. Some sitting and leaning against the wall, some curled up on the mattress. But all six of them were looking to the left of the camera, where Robin’s voice started to sing from.
“I see you in the dark. Corner of the street, calling after me, yeah. Headlights on full beam, coming down the fast lane, coming after me. You follow me around. You follow me around.”
One of the boys curled up let out a scream of pain.
Robin stopped singing, “hey, are you okay?”
The boy leaned over the bed and vomited on the floor, and all the others groaned. In the black and white footage, the vomit was suspiciously dark.
“My tummy! My tummy hurts!” He cried.
“I know buddy, it hurts. But you’re…gonna be okay…”
The boy started coughing, hanging over the side of the bed and vomited more dark material. Then he fell limp.
“12? Can you check him?”
A boy on the same bed pressed his hands on the boy’s neck, then looked over to Robin, and shook his head.
Robin swore.
“Oopsie! He died, didn’t he?” Someone to the left of Robin asked.
“...yeah.” Robin breathed. “Just like the others.”
“Can I have his face, then?”
Robin was quiet for a long time, then responded. “You don’t have any way to get it off though.”
“You’re so smart, 8!”
“So 5 was right?” The boy labeled 12 asked, as he and another boy heaved the dead body from the bed and dragged it over by the door. “We’re all going to die except for one of us?”
...it seems that way. That poison they’re giving us is speeding up the process.”
“I hope I’m next,” said 12. “This is hell.”
Robin didn’t respond to that.
“Sing more songs, 8! I like that pretty voice!”
Robin shuttered, like a chill went down his spine. “Okay.”
“Yay!”
“Where was I?” Robin asked more to himself.
“A following song.”
“Ah, yeah.” He hummed a few quick notes to find the melody. “Please forget the words that I just blurted out. It wasn't me, it was a strange and creeping doubt. It keeps rattling my cage. There's nothing in this world will keep it down. Even though I might, even though I try, I can't.” There was a distinct warble in his voice, indicative of grief. “Even though I might, even though I try, I can't. So many things that keep, keep me underground. So many words that I, that I can never find. If you give up on me now, I'll be gutted like I've never been before.”
The video ended.
“That poor boy,” Starfire wept. “All of them. They are so young…”
“...I had wanted to find and rescue Robin, but…”
“Kid has patience I never would have thought,” Gizmo said. “I would have shanked that weird face obsessed kid.”
“That’s probably what the people behind this whole thing want. They want their captives to narrow down the pool. But Robin was raised to not kill people. He’s trying to save them.”
“Well, he’s not doing a very good job. Two people have died on screen!”
Starfire stood, tears still flowing from her eyes. Before she could hurt him, Jinx smacked Gizmo hard.
“Ow! What?!”
“Shut. Up. What if this was your family you were watching, huh? I know you have a hard lump of coal where your heart is, but read the room, twerp.”
Gizmo looked around, noticing the death glares the assembled Titans were giving him. He shrank into his seat. “...sorry.”
Starfire’s glow faded and she dropped onto the couch, sullen, defeated. “Cyborg, please play the next one.”
“You sure?”
“I must find closure.”
“Okay…” Cyborg started the next video, and by god he wished he hadn’t. Immediately, it was clear some time had passed from the last video. The walls and floor were covered in shadowy handprints. There was no one in the room, except for Robin, who had his head in his hands, sitting on the floor in front of the camera. He was sobbing, openly weeping. But, by some strength inside, he sang his song, desperate to get out whatever message he was trying to hide.
“I will…Lay me down…In a bunker underground. I won't let this happen to my children…” He croaked.
“Hey buddy, why you crying?” A familiar voice asked to the camera’s left.
Robin didn’t answer, still singing. “Meet the real world coming out of your shell, with white elephants…Sitting ducks.”
“Cause it’s just you and me now. And we’re going to have fun!” The stranger’s hand reached out to pet Robin’s head, the flesh dark and stained.
“I will…Rise up.”
“You don’t really like me so much, do ya? I get that. Had that problem before!”
Robin looked up at the camera, for the first time revealing his full face. But he looked so different, so wrong. His cheeks were gaunt with hunger. Dark bags under his eyes, and sagging eyelids that made his eyes bulge. His black hair was stringy and greasy. Worst of all, dark veins stood out on his face, neck, arms, anywhere his skin was visible.
He stood, his face moving out of frame. Awkwardly, he started pacing back and forth across the room. As he walked, he sang in a tiny, soft voice. It was hard to hear. “Don't hurt me…don't hurt me…don't hurt me…don't hurt me.”
“I don’t like that song. Sing a different one, 8.”
Robin stopped moving. He rubbed a hand over his face. “Limb by limb and tooth by tooth, tearing up inside of me.”
“You should stop crying. Makes your skin all blotchy.”
“Every day every hour…I wish that I was bulletproof.”
“Hey 8! Did I show you what I found? It’s real nifty!”
Robin shook his head. “What?” He turned to look at his cellmate. His eyes went wide and he shouted profanity.
The other boy leapt at Robin with a laughing shriek, knocking them both to the ground and out of the frame. There was a sound of struggling, kicking, punching, screaming……horrible screaming.
“It’s mine! Give it to me!”
A ripping sound, choking noises…then silence.
A bloody hand weakly reached up from the floor and grabbed the camera.
The video ended.
The room was silent. Even Gizmo was quiet.
“I…I don’t want to see the rest,” Beast Boy said, shifting back into a human.
“He…he must have survived?” Starfire asked hopefully. “That was not the last video, correct?”
“There’s two left,” Cyborg breathed. “If we can get through them?”
“I’m not going to be able to sleep for a week,” Gizmo muttered to himself.
No one would say it, but they shared the sentiment.
As Cyborg clicked on the next video, a giant red exclamation mark came up on the screen. The file was corrupted.
“Nutsacks!” Gizmo shouted, while Starfire simultaneously leapt to her feet and yelled something violently in Tamaranian. Then she whirled on Gizmo. “You have 30 seconds to fix this issue or I shall obliterate your lineage!”
“It was an accident!” Gizmo protested, also leaping to his feet. “I thought I fixed them all!”
“You did not! And now you shall pay!”
Before Starfire could kill Gizmo, she was encased in a black aura. “Starfire!” Raven yelled. “You need to calm down. Peace, quiet, tranquility.”
“There shall be no peace until my Robin is home!” She yelled back.
“I’ll fix it!” Gizmo promised. “I just need more time. I promise!”
Starfire extinguished her bolts. “A promise means more to me than most Earthlings, be smart to keep it.”
“That’s weird that I didn’t pick up the corruption the first time,” Cyborg noted, looking over the file. “And it looks fine until you go to play it.”
“It’s probably a more complex issue. But I will figure it out! So don’t–don’t shoot me!”
“I shall not—for now,” Starfire’s eyes sparked with danger.
Gizmo had never been so scared of the alien in his life.
“Not to be that guy…but isn’t there one more video? Is that one corrupted too?” Asked Beast Boy.
The team all looked at the folder open on the computer. Yes, there was one more they hadn’t tried. The last video. Either the end of the mystery, or just the beginning.
Cyborg clicked on it.
They were not in the room anymore. The camera swung rhythmically back and forth as the wall moved. The wall wall was made of gray cement blocks, and was dimly lit from below. Whoever was recording was walking, and giggling.
“What’s so funny?” A new man spoke, on the right.
The giggling continued before they sang, “If it hadn't been for Cotton-Eye Joe, I'd been married long time ago. Where did you come from, where did you go? Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?”
“That…is not Robin…” Starfire breathed.
“Oh I like that little diddy,” said an older, grungier voice from the left.
“Shut up,” said the right man.
“What’s crawled up your butt, Harv?”
“This whole thing was a complete waste of time. I have no idea why I agreed to work with you.”
“Because you knew it would be fun?”
“You promised me an apprentice!”
“And here he is!”
“No, this is a lunatic! I almost had him perfect—but then you had to go and–!!”
Not-Robin giggled again. “Mommy and daddy are fighting!”
Right man groaned, “that, right there.”
Left man chuckled. “I don’t know, I think he’s perfect.”
Not-Robin started singing again, a little too loudly, obscuring the conversation between the two men. “Karma police, arrest this man, he talks in maths, he buzzes like a fridge, he's like a detuned radio.”
“––do with him then? Kill him?”
“After all the work? Nah.”
“Karma police, arrest this girl, her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill and we have crashed her party.”
“Well I’m not taking him.”
“I already have an annoying sidekick.”
“This is what you'll get…This is what you'll get…This is what you'll get…When you mess with us…”
“––just let him go? He won’t survive.”
“I’m sure he won’t.”
“Karma police, I've given all I can. It's not enough, I've given all I can, but we're still on the payroll.”
“––give the Titans a few problems.”
“They’re around here, aren’t they?”
“This is what you'll get…this is what you'll get…this is what you'll get…when you mess with us.”
“––doing with that old Slade-bot head?”
Not-Robin stopped singing. “Who? Me?”
“Yeah, why are you carrying that thing around?”
“Oh! My buddy back in the cell really liked this thing, so I’m taking care of it.”
“Your…buddy? Do you mean patient 8?”
“Yep yep yep!”
“See?” Said Left man. “It worked.”
Not-Robin belted back into song as he pulled the camera up. “For a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself. Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself.”
The video ended.
Beast Boy sucked in a huge gasp and said, “DUUUUUDE!!”
“What? What is it?” Asked Cyborg.
“That was Black! This is his origin story!”
“What?”
“Yeah! I bet he was the face-kid in the cell with Robin! And Robin is how he got the scar on his face!” He used his finger to draw a line on his cheek, just like Black’s scar.
The Titans exchanged glances. If Black was responsible for Robin’s death, and they had been so chummy with him…
“It’s…possible.”
“Are you barf brains talking about that weird goth kid vigilante downtown?” Gizmo asked.
“Yes! Have you seen him?”
Gizmo scoffed. “Seen him? He gave me a concussion! Called me a ‘Kewpie doll’, whatever that is. Next time I see him…” He punched his fist.
“You ain’t gonna do nothin’,” said Mammoth with a chuckle. “He scares the willies out of you.”
“Does not!”
“Cyborg,” Starfire asked, like Gizmo hadn’t said anything. “Is this not more of a reason to bring Black in? If we can jog his memory, maybe he can tell us who did this to him. To both of them.”
“Yeah, jog his memory so that he turns into a face stealer! Great idea!” Said Beast Boy.
“I am not afraid of a human boy with no powers. He may be good, but I am stronger. I will do what it takes to avenge my Robin.”

So, a few months ago I did the photography for a performance and when I was transferring the photos from my sd card to my external drive, my laptop crashed and it wiped both the card and the drive and I lost all 700 or so photos. And like. I was distraught because…damn there were some incredible photos on there, but also…they were the only photos taken of the event and I’d just lost them all.
Anyway, I just found that the last sd card I bought came with a years subscription to a data recovery program and it’s still going and I don’t want to get my hopes up but I think it might actually be able to recover most of them? And like. I might just cry from joy.

Current Sitrep & Commission Status
Hey everyone! Hope you've been doing well this year
despite everything
I say this a lot, but with the whole social media shakeup going on this year, I actually plan on getting the gallery back up to date with pieces. There's a year's worth of backlog in collars, journal covers, and now even harnesses burning a hole in my camera's SD card and it's all too obvious that I need to get back to work on clearing that out. I dont know how fast I'm going to work through it all, but it will happen as it has to happen. Hoping to manage around one submission a week as a minimum goal cuz executive disfunction is the true bane of my existence.
Aside from that, wanted to give a quick note about current commission status and the next potential openings! After the current two pieces are complete, I'll be halfway through the custom orders I received from vending at FWA. What an absolutely incredible con, holy hell y'all 💚 much love to everyone who stopped by to say hey, check out the wares, and even take some home with them. I can never describe just how much it means to have y'alls' support, it's truly breathtaking. If current speed and progress continues as it is, I should be wrapping up sometime early-mid August and able to open up for commissions either later that month or the beginning of September. So keep an eye out!
Speaking of FWA, I've got some leftover stock from this years con gauntlet and am looking to hopefully post a few of them up for grabs at some point. This is something that I wanted to do soon after FWA was over, but due to my 3.5yr streak of never catching covid unfortunately ending there…. it caused some serious delays in all departments (I've recovered thankfully and seem to have skirted past major issues, thank the gods. Get vaxxed and keep wearing masks in heavily crowded spaces, y'all, it unfortunately isn't over). At the very least, I'm wanting to get some of the leftover pieces posted for sale, but otherwise will begin starting on rebuilding my stock for next year's con season alongside custom orders.
Anyways, hope you all stay safe, do well, sleep well, and let's make some beautiful leatherwork 💚

ヾ(≧▽≦*)o Syncios D-Savior helps to recover any data from your USB drive, SD card, formatted disk, etc.
Tumblr media
Does a USB drive get heavier as you store more files on it?
Nope. Paradoxically (and theoretically), the more you save on a flash drive, the lighter it gets.
USB drives use Flash memory, which means the the ones and zeros of the data are stored on transistors.
When you save data, a binary zero is set by charging the float gate of the transistor, and a binary one is set by removing the charge.
To charge it, we add electrons, and the mass of each electron is 0.00000000000000000000000000091 grams.
This means that an empty USB drive (which mostly holds zeros) weighs more than a full USB drive (which has ones and zeros). Add data, reduce the weight.

So this flash drive was made in the form of a single monolithic element (why the spider board says "for monolith"). This means that, unlike other forms of memory storage devices, it cannot be unsoldered and read on a particular hardware reader. [Tangent: USB flash drives and SD memory cards may or may not be monolithic, but all MicroSD flash drives are.]
To connect to a memory chip on monolithic flash drives, data recovery specialists need to strip the printed circuit board of the flash drive and connect to the necessary contacts using a special PC-3000 Spider Board device.
The PC-3000 Spider Board is designed to perform switching with technological outputs of drives in monolithic memory cards. Data can be recovered with the Spider Board from a variety of damaged memory cards, including Monolithic USB Flash Drive, MicroSD, SD, and others. The PC-3000 Flash Spider Board Adapter is an all-purpose way to safely restore monolithic data without tedious soldering.
The PC-3000-Flash software reads the ROM (read-only memory) of the device that is having its data recovered by directly accessing NAND chips. [Tangent: Flash memory is an electronic non-volatile computer memory storage medium that can be electrically erased and reprogrammed. It is a semiconductor that stores data and is used in smartphones and many other electronic devices around us. The two main types of flash memory, NOR flash and NAND flash, are named for the NOR and NAND logic gates. KIOXIA invented the world’s first NAND flash memory in 1987 and remains one of the leading companies conducting flash memory development and manufacturing.] The connection is carried out through the PC3000 Spider Board adapter, which allows connection to the process pins of the NAND Flash chip without soldering due to 25 movable needle contacts.
My sources (which I quoted verbatim as well as paraphrased):
Have you ever wondered how tech technicians recover data from faulty flash and memory whose data cannot be recovered by normal methods.

After the Soiree - Part One - Chapter Two
-Analysis I-
(before you read, Yuri the Tuxedo Cat belongs to @cattokai)
The clock softly buzzed. It was the only source of sound and light in the dark bedroom. The red numbers revealed the current time, four in the morning. Vector tuckered himself out yesterday and went to bed early. The consequences of his actions caught up to him as he woke up three whole hours before his alarm and rolled in bed, trying to fall back asleep. Seconds felt like minutes and minutes felt like hours as he tried–struggled even–to return to sweet, sweet subconsciousness. He eventually bit the bullet, turning off his alarm and rolling out of bed to slip on his pair of silly slippers.
The soft sounds of snores filled the croc's ears as he passed through the bedroom hallway. Each of the doors was cracked, cracked enough for him to sneak a protective peek at his crew. Charmy and Ray were sound asleep; Mighty, on the other hand, was not. He poked his head into the armadillo room to find he was on the floor doing crunches on the rug.
“You're up early…” Vector whispered.
“You call this early?”
“Of course it's early. It's four in the Chaos-damned morning.”
“The earlier, the better.”
“You got grit, I'll tell you that, dude.” The croc retracted his head only to poke it back through the cracked door to give a final few words. “Just keep it quiet.”
“Got it.”
The Chaotix muscle gave the leader a thumbs up before the croc left. Mighty then returned to his usual routine.
The sounds of snoring slowly faded as Vector made his way through the house, and the soft buzzing noise of a running laptop followed. The aroma of warm, freshly-made green tea filled his nostrils when he eventually entered his office. He entered to see Espio clicking away at the rusted laptop they found at the site at a desk.
The croc pulled up a chair and sat next to his teammate. “You too, Espio?”
“O!” He exclaimed. Vector's voice snapped the ninja out of his thoughts, startling him. This was unusual.
“Shh!”
The leader pressed his finger against the tip of his maw and gently clasped the chameleon's mouth with his unoccupied hand.
“Sorry, man…”
“Vector…” Espio exhaled deeply as he recovered from the scare. “Please, do not startle me like that.”
“You get startled?” The croc teased. “I'm just messing with you.
But, seriously, what are you doing up and working this early?”
“Whatever could you mean? I always begin my day early.”
“Yeah, five o'clock early–seven on a bad day–but not four.”
Espio adjusted the laptop's position so Vector could see what he was doing. He was analyzing camera footage dating from the week before to the day the hotel burned down. He took notes and clipped sections of the footage that were significant to the case at hand, as evidenced by the notebook and dipping sauce container filled with SD cards to the chameleon's right.
He pressed play and sat silently as the clips he gathered played out. Two figures caught their attention: a bat with brown fur and a tuxedo cat with bright blue eyes. They were mopping the floors in the reception area.
“Hey, Bats. You missed a spot.”
“What do you mean?”
The cat pointed to a splotch of grime by the staircase.
“Right! Thanks.”
The bat walked over to where the cat pointed, only for them to grab her by the mop.
“You've been cleaning for hours. Take a break and get yourself ready. I'll get the rest.”
The bat sighed. “I guess you're right.”
“Hey, who are those chicks?” Vector asked.
“They are Batella Maria, a Little Brown Bat, and Yuri Reyes, a Tuxedo Cat. They were the ones who organized the gala.”
“Are you sure they're not janitors?”
“Highly unlikely. If they were to be janitors, they would be wearing a uniform.”
“Eh, it was worth a shot.” The leader leaned back in his office chair with crossed arms and a pensive expression. “Hold the phone. Is that the same one that was on the night of the fire?”
The Chaotix investigator nodded. “Precisely.”
The croc snapped his fingers. They were onto something.
“That means they are suspects. Which now makes fifteen.”
“Twenty-one, to be exact. Team Hooligans, the Skunk Brothers, and the Black Arms Champion were also present.”
“Not the Hooligans, I friggin’ hate them…” Vector grumbled.
“We all do!” Mighty's voice called out.
The armadillo picked up a chair and sat next to Espio.
“What's the report?” He asked.
“We have all of our suspects.”
“Awesome,” the Chaotix muscle said with a thumbs up.
“Knuckles is already dealing with the Skunk Brothers, Silver has Mephiles, and Shadow has the jackals and the champion, which narrows things down to twelve interrogations,” Espio explained.
“Ray and I can bring that down to eleven. We know Yuri.” Mighty said.
“And hopefully make that ten–get Batella down in the process?” Vector asked.
“I don't know about that one.” The armadillo shook his head. “I heard she's always all over the place–Yuri said something about it being chronic.”
“Not pertinent,” the chameleon remarked.
Espio removed the SD card from the laptop and closed the lid before he got up from his seat. He walked to the corkboard with a few things in hand: a stash of photos, a few thumbtacks, and a ball of red yarn. While he was attaching everything to the board, Charmy and Ray flew into the office. Vector filled the younger members in during breakfast and gave Mighty and Ray their next mission. The duo was out the door at seven o'clock sharp.

Lost Data? We Recover It
Losing data is one of the most stressful digital experiences anyone can face. Whether it’s a deleted folder, a failed hard drive, or a corrupted memory card, the panic that follows is universal. But here's the good news: lost data is not always gone forever. With professional help and the right tools, recovery is often not only possible it's highly successful. If you've recently suffered a data loss, don’t despair. Lost data? We recover it.
Common Causes of Data Loss
Data loss can strike at any time, and it doesn’t discriminate. Whether you're an individual saving personal photos or a business storing critical client records, the risks are real. Here are some of the most frequent causes:
1. Accidental Deletion
Files deleted from your computer or emptied from the Recycle Bin can often be recovered, but the longer you wait, the more likely they are to be overwritten.
2. Hard Drive Failure
Mechanical or logical failure of internal and external drives is a leading cause of data loss. Drives may crash due to age, impact, power surges, or manufacturing defects.
3. Formatted Drives
Accidentally formatting a drive or partition can wipe all contents—but the data usually remains intact underneath, at least for a time.
4. Corruption
File system errors, improper ejections, or software crashes can corrupt files or make them unreadable.
5. Virus or Ransomware Attacks
Malicious software can delete, encrypt, or hide files, locking users out of their own systems.
6. Natural Disasters or Accidents
Water damage, fire, or physical impacts can severely damage storage devices, but professional recovery techniques can still retrieve files in many of these cases.
What to Do Immediately After Data Loss
If you've lost data, your next steps are crucial. Here's what you should do:
Stop Using the Device: Continued use can overwrite recoverable data.
Do Not Attempt DIY Repairs: Opening a hard drive or using free, unverified software can make the problem worse.
Contact a Professional: The sooner you seek expert help, the greater your chances of successful recovery.
How We Recover Your Data
At our professional data recovery service, we specialize in retrieving data from all types of loss situations. Here’s how the process typically works:
1. Free Diagnosis
You bring or ship your device to us, and we conduct a no-obligation diagnostic evaluation. We determine the cause of the data loss and estimate how much can be recovered.
2. Clear Quote and Approval
We provide you with a quote that outlines the cost and expected timeline. We’ll only proceed if you approve the recovery process.
3. Safe Data Recovery
Depending on the damage, we use software-based recovery for logical issues or cleanroom procedures for physical ones. In either case, our approach is 100% safe and secure.
Logical recovery methods include scanning file systems, repairing corrupted sectors, and locating deleted files.
Physical recovery may involve replacing damaged components or extracting data from memory chips directly.
4. File Verification
Once we recover your files, we verify their integrity and ensure you're getting exactly what you need. You can review the list of files before accepting the results.
5. Secure Delivery
Recovered data is returned to you on a new storage device or delivered securely through encrypted digital transfer. Your original damaged device can be returned or disposed of securely upon request.
Devices We Recover Data From
We recover lost data from virtually any device or storage medium, including:
Desktop and Laptop Hard Drives (HDD/SSD)
External USB Drives
Memory Cards (SD, microSD, CF)
RAID Systems and NAS Devices
Mobile Phones and Tablets
CCTV Systems and DVRs
Server and Enterprise Storage
No matter what you’ve lost or how it happened, if it stored data, we can probably recover it.
Why Choose Our Professional Data Recovery Service?
High Success Rates
We recover data in over 90% of cases we handle—even from severely damaged devices.
No Data, No Fee Policy
If we can’t recover your files, you don’t pay. It’s that simple.
Certified Cleanroom Facility
Our lab uses an ISO-certified cleanroom to safely open and work on damaged drives without risk of contamination.
Fast Turnaround Options
Standard recovery typically takes 3–5 days. Emergency services are available for urgent cases.
Strict Privacy and Security
We treat every device with the highest level of confidentiality. All data is protected according to industry best practices and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Real-World Recovery Examples
Here are just a few real-world cases where we successfully recovered lost data:
A law firm experienced a RAID failure just before a major court deadline. We recovered the array configuration and restored all files within 48 hours.
A photographer’s external drive with over 50,000 images became unreadable. We retrieved 98% of the photos, including completed client projects and personal memories.
A student accidentally deleted their thesis from a USB drive. We restored the file within hours, helping them meet their submission deadline.
Don’t Wait—Act Fast
The biggest enemy of successful data recovery is delay. The longer a device is used or left damaged, the harder it becomes to retrieve the lost files. That’s why you should never take chances.

How to Identify Your Data Recovery Needs
Recognizing your data recovery needs is important for getting files back quickly. Start by checking what kind of device you have—like a hard drive, SSD, memory card, or mobile phone. Different devices need different ways to fix the problem.
You should also look at what caused the issue, such as water damage, accidental deletion, or software errors. Knowing these details helps you focus your recovery efforts and find the right services. Next, we will take a closer look at common data loss situations.
Common Data Loss Scenarios
Data loss can happen for many reasons. It can be due to physical damage, issues with software, or hardware failure. Devices such as external hard drives or RAID arrays can stop working because of power surges or regular use, making them hard to access.
People also often erase files by mistake or set up drives incorrectly. Accidental deletion and formatting are very common. Water damage is another big problem, especially for mobile phones, and it can cause devices to shut down completely.
Viruses and ransomware attacks are becoming more common. They can lock important files and make them unreadable. Professional data recovery services have the skills to fix these problems using special techniques. Next, we will look at how to figure out how serious these losses are.
Evaluating the Severity of Your Data Loss
Understanding how serious your data loss is helps you pick the right data recovery process. If you’ve lost part of a file, you may just need simple logical recovery methods to find hidden files. But if there is serious physical damage, it might take more work like cleanroom repairs.
Knowing how valuable lost data is, no matter if it is important files or precious photos, can help you decide what to recover first. For example, important business data needs quicker action compared to personal media files.
Finally, talking to recovery specialists can give you a clear picture. They will check the state of your storage devices and give you honest expectations about the chances of recovery.
